Interior design and renovation of a ski chalet and apartment.

Lavancher, chamonix

This 350 sq metre chalet in the hamlet of Lavancher just outside Chamonix was entirely renovated by the new owners in 2018. The brief was to create a beautiful luxury chalet suitable for rental and family use and to incorporate a self sufficient two bedroom apartment with its own distinctive style that could be closed off from the rest of the chalet. We worked closely with the developer, Pangea Services, on all aesthetic design decisions such as kitchens, we designed made to measure storage within the wardrobes, the bathroom cabinets and designed the bunk beds as well as selecting the furniture and soft furnishings. The bespoke triptych artwork in the living area was a collaboration between myself and local artist Sylvia Pydych.

Testimonial

We worked with Polly on a complete renovation and refurbishment of our Chalet in Chamonix. As we were handling the entire project remotely it was essential to work with someone who has excellent design skills, could work within a budget, and crucially who could quickly understand our objectives. It took us very little time to realise that Polly really understood what we were looking for. The design process always felt like something we were very much part of, and she did an excellent job of picking up on and executing some of the subtleties of our brief, while bringing many really special ideas to the whole exercise. She managed the budget in a very transparent way; the sourcing was flawless and her network of local tradesmen ensured that installation was very professional and timely. Her communication throughout the project was excellent. We are absolutely delighted to the final outcome and the excellent interior design of the property is regularly commented on by our guests. We would not hesitate to recommend.
