Who we are

Yamadeco, Yama meaning mountain in Japanese, was created by Polly Grosset in Chamonix in 2010.

Polly, who is bi-lingual, left a 13 year career in finance in 2008 and used this as an opportunity to create a business in the French Alps based around her lifelong passions for fabric, creativity and interior design while incorporating the skills she learnt in the City such as project management, attention to detail, managing budgets and meeting deadlines.

Yamadeco started life as a curtain and soft furnishings workshop, which is still fully operational in Chamonix. It has naturally evolved into Interior Design as her experience and knowledge of fabrics grew to incorporate a catalogue of beautiful innovative furniture and furnishings suppliers, particularly from our neighbours in Italy.

The interior design projects range from small apartments to large chalets and the level of service can be advice and supply for one room in your alpine property to the full interior design of your chalet.

Polly takes great pleasure in creating beautiful, original, stylish environments that clients can enjoy all year round.
